RULES AND POLICIES

Please print, read & return on your first day.

The purpose of Doggie Fun and Fitness is to provide a safe, fun and stimulating social environment for all our dogs. To ensure the safety and health of your pet and our other guests, we require all guests to comply with the following rules and regulations:

___ All dogs must be on leash while in the parking lot or building AT ALL TIMES. Please use a training collar if you have one to keep the dog from pulling the attendant to the entrance.

___ All dogs need to wear a quick release flat collar with their name tag attached.

___ Please leave your dog in the car while you come into the office to check in. There may be other dogs in the office that are in training.

___ For everyone’s safety, no flexi-leads/retractable leashes.

___ Vaccinations required: DHPP (distemper, parainfluenza, and parvovirus), Bordetella (aka kennel cough, administered every 6 months to 1 year), and Rabies (certificate MUST be provided).

___ Dogs over 7 months must be spayed/neutered.

___ Dogs play with their teeth and can play rough at times. Your dog may come home dirty, wet, or with scratches. And even the most well behaved dog can be unpredictable on occasion. How a dog behaves around 1 dog is not always how they behave in a large group.  And while we require each dog to be vaccinated and in good health, it is still possible for dogs to contract kennel cough, conjunctivitis, giardia, etc. On the extreme and highly unlikely circumstance, your dog may experience an unpreventable condition like bloat, blown knees, etc. We are not responsible for any vet bills. On the unlikely occasion that your dog gets sick or hurt, it is the owner’s responsibility (Just like a child going to school and getting the flu or getting hurt at recess).

___ We must be kept up to date with your dog’s medical and behavioral changes. If your dog is on new medication(s), we NEED to know. This may impact behavior here. If your dog has a scuffle or problem with a dog/human outside of DFF we need to be informed.

___ Please keep your dog home if he has been coughing, has vomited, or had diarrhea in the past 24 hours. He may have something contagious or he may not be feeling well enough to play. Dogs must be in good health and free of communicable illness.

___ Day care dogs need to be here twice a week to keep up their social skills. Dogs that miss 1 week will need to be re-evaluated to return (unless there is a planned absence).

___ Boarding dogs will be asked to be crated at home at night for at least a week before their stay, and be at day care twice a week for at least 2 weeks before their stay.

___ During peak times (February and April school vacation, Fourth of July, Labor Day weekend, Columbus Day weekend, Thanksgiving week, and Christmas vacation week) we always fill up, so we only allow “regulars” to board. Regulars are here for day care twice a week.

___ We do not recommend dogs coming more than 4 times a week. At some point even Disney is not fun for kids; they all need a rest.

___ If you bring a lunch or snack for your dog over 6 months, there will be a $2 fee.

___ Our current rates for day care are $33 for 1 dog and $55 for 2 dogs. There are cash discounts available at $30 and $52 respectively. Payment is due day the day of service as we do not allow balances. We periodically offer package specials, which has expiration based on 2 days a week. There are no ½ day rates.

___ Boarding rates are currently $60/night for 1 dog and $90/night for 2 dogs. Dogs must be dropped off by 10am and picked up by 12 PM. Dogs staying after 12 PM will be charged a day care fee of $20 and $30 respectively.

___ Dogs may be asked to leave for the following reasons: charging/lunging/snapping at humans or dogs, bearing teeth, moving too fast and will not slow down, not listening to staff, too nervous, scaling partition/fence, excessive barking, or excessive mounting.

___ All dogs must be in the building by 10 AM. Closing time is 7 PM weekdays and 4 PM weekends. There is a late fee is $20 after the first minute, up until the first half hour. At that point we will board your dog unless we have heard from you and have made other arrangements.

By initialing above, I understand and comply with the rules and policies of Doggie Fun & Fitness Center.
